YouTube Disrespects Veterans: Veteran’s Day is NOT a Political Holiday

 In Military, opinion, Veterans

This morning I watched a live stream White House video of President Trump, Vice President Pence, and VA Secretary Robert Wilkie participating in a Veteran’s Day Observance at Arlington. At the Tomb of the Unknowns, they stood- without umbrellas- in the pouring rain to honor our veterans. YouTube placed a message below every video about it- “AP has called the Presidential race for Joe Biden.” It was a sign of complete and total disprespect for our veterans that we couldn’t even watch the ceremony without the injection of politics.

Make no mistake: Big Tech has stepped in it this time. They have censored Conservatives and the White House past the goalposts of normal interaction. Now they are deliberately disrespecting our military, our veterans, by playing politics with a holiday that is most certainly NOT political. They have turned even a traditional ceremony into a political football. Everyone should be incensed.

From Armistice Day WWI to Veteran’s Day after WWII

World War One on November 11, 1918. That day was declared to be “Armistice Day” by President Woodrow Wilson in 1919. By 1938, Congress approved it to be a legal holiday across the nation. In 1954, the Armistice designation was amended to add veterans of all wars and signed by President Dwight D Eisenhower.

“In order to insure proper and widespread observance of this anniversary, all veterans, all veterans’ organizations, and the entire citizenry will wish to join hands in the common purpose. Toward this end, I am designating the Administrator of Veterans’ Affairs as Chairman of a Veterans Day National Committee, which shall include such other persons as the Chairman may select, and which will coordinate at the national level necessary planning for the observance. I am also requesting the heads of all departments and agencies of the Executive branch of the Government to assist the National Committee in every way possible.” President Eisenhower, Veteran’s Day Proclamation

YouTube and the other “Big Tech” companies do not care one iota about our military or our veterans. They only care about their power and how to destroy those who disagree. There are liberal veterans too and they are just as disrespected by the notice on this video as the conservative ones.

Veterans Day is not meant for playing political games. It is about a grateful nation thanking those who have stood to protect our freedoms. Every person- male or female who has put on the uniform of our Armed Forces should be thanked for their service. Every one of them deserve the best we can give. They do not deserve to be badgered and shoved by leftists who don’t give a rip about that service.

Shame on YouTube.

Apparently the SocProg fartgoblins don’t believe that defending, and possibly dying for, your country is a political act…it’s more like cosplay at a gay pride Renaissance faire or playing Dungeons and Dragons in your underpants.
