If You’re Old Enough to Serve in the Military, or Vote, Changing Gun Age is UnConstitutional

 In 2nd Amendment, Military, opinion

Our US leadership is rapidly destroying the 2nd Amendment, and their actions must be unconstitutional. The U.S. Armed Forces can recruit members at the age of 17 and 18. JROTC members have guns in order to participate in training. If the age for purchasing a firearm- or even owning one-  is moved to 21, how then, can it be Constitutional for the government to suddenly cut them off from owning or possessing firearms? As this tyranny continues, it’s time for young people to take this issue to the Supreme Court.

The legal age of voting in the United States is 18 – if they are old enough to make a conscious decision on a candidate, why can’t they have the right to keep and bear arms?  If one part of the Bill of Rights applies only to certain adults, then the entire list of rights is destroyed.

“The Constitution shall never be construed… to prevent the people of the United States who are peaceable citizens from keeping their own arms.” Samuel Adams

Bill of Rights

Samuel Adams is likely rolling over in his grave at this moment in history. That the Bill of Rights is being taken so lightly and ignorantly by our leaders is astounding.

Changing the age to purchase a firearm in the US is a Constitutional issue. If we say that a person 18 years of age is no longer a child, and in some states that’s 17, then they should have the same rights under the Constitution as everyone else.

In some states, a parent can give permission to a young person younger than 18 to purchase a gun. A parent can give permission for a 17 year old to enter  military service.

I bought my first handgun at 18 because it was required for my law enforcement training. I already had several other firearms accessible to me because we were members of a local Rifle and Pistol Club. I began shooting when I was 9. I was on our college rifle team before I was 18. It was fun and exciting…and no member of our team ever went on any murder rampages.

Are you telling me that now all young people who wish to participate in shooting sports will be barred from them? That they are all now “killers” because of one mentally ill jackass who went on a murder spree that could have been stopped by one law enforcement agency that blew it? Is that what the fools in Washington are saying? Because ALL of that has to be unconstitutional.

The 2nd Amendment is meant for self defense, the defense of others, the defense of the nation against this very thing…not a political football for fools. And if you are between 17 and 20, your rights are being denied for no good reason. Fight back…take it to the Supreme Court!

“If you love wealth greater than liberty, the tranquility of servitude greater than the animating contest for freedom, go home from us in peace. We seek not your counsel, nor your arms. Crouch down and lick the hand that feeds you; May your chains set lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that you were our countrymen.” Samuel Adams

Yes, Nick Walmart has caved to the left wing narrative. A lot of places are doing it – Walmart, Kroger, Dicks Sporting Goods/Field and Stream. It’s totally stupid. Hang int here, #KeeptheFaith and let’s get our Congress members to stop it.
