Are Women Paying for “Designer Vaginas” or Genital Mutilation?
Worried about how they look in tight fitting jeans, yoga pants, and bikinis, more and more women are opting for cosmetic surgery on their hoo-ha’s. Dubbed “designer vagina” surgery, the medical procedure is called a labiaplasty. A labiaplasty is surgery to reshape or make smaller the labia major, or the outer “lips” of the vagina.
What seems to be driving the new cosmetic trend is women becoming more conscious of how their lady bits look, especially in this day and age of many women going bald downtown. Dr. Jennifer Walden, an aesthetic plastic surgeon and a “vaginer designer,” said the operation is “one of the most popular cosmetic procedures for women.”
According to the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, in 2013-2014, the number of labiaplasty operations increased forty-nine percent.
As a result of the absence of pubic hair in modern women, Dr. Walden said the procedure has “become fashionable and as a result women have, all of a sudden, started to see things they may not have taken notice of before.”
Is this like Female Genital Mutilation? Not Far off
The whole phenomenon is very odd. Essentially, the procedure is akin to the female genital mutilation that is so widespread in the Middle East. Many women from the West don’t condone this being done to women and young girls in the Arab world, yet now they are paying for a similar kind of surgery they condemn. Perhaps American women are trying to get a preemptive trim in the event Democrats hold the White House, keep our borders open, and allow Shariah law to advance in our society.
PP and Hollywood love this stuff
There is word that Planned Parenthood is very jealous of the money cosmetic surgeons are making on the surgery. “We can do that!” Planned Parenthood president Cecile Richards says,”We’re already working with that part of the female body, we have sharp instruments lying around, and we’re comfortable mutilating women. I’ll bring this up at my next meeting with the president.”
Some celebrities who are looking seriously at having the surgery include Whoopi “stay out of my vagina!” Goldberg, actress Lena Dunham, Bruce Jenner, and Barack Obama. Lena Dunham, not the sharpest knife in Planned Parenthood’s drawer, says she hopes the labiaplasty surgery will finally help get rid of her double chin.
Dunham said, “I’m really thinking about doing this, and that’s not just lip service.”
Editor’s note: None of the cosmetic vaginoplasty surgeries are considered accepted, routine procedures by the ACOG [American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists].
