Winfield Police Get Hilarious Text…”We Got High Together, Remember?”
Missouri – Winfield police department received a hilarious text inviting a police officer to a baseball game with the promise of free hot dogs and soda. Of course the person who sent the text thought they were sending it to a girlfriend they “got high with” at a previous game. (story from Fox)
It’s the hazards of texting and getting your finger on the wrong key.
Text: “Hey, would you like to go to the game tonight it won’t free hot dogs and soda.”
Winfield Police: “I’d love to go to the game tonight! Sadly, I think you have the wrong number.”
Text: “No I don’t we went to the game together.”
Winfield Police: “What game did we go to?”
Text: “With Shari and Diana we got high together, girl. Get dressed and I will pick you up. In the truck remember[Officer reveals himself] “Are you still gonna come pick me up for the game though? I was really looking forward to going to the game.”
Text: “Wrong number.”
Winfield Police: “I tried to tell you but noooo I don’t know what I’m talking about.”
Text: “You can stop.”
The moral of the story is: don’t text the police when you’re babbling about getting high. You know they can find you. Cell phones are good that way. And we’re pretty sure they didn’t come pick up the officer for the game, aren’t you?
One lady named Justine said, “😂😂😂 can someone send me the cops number I’ll take him to the game. ❤️ lol I’ll buy him actual dinner too. Not just a hot dog & a soda. 😂”
That remark triggered someone who hates cops, and the conversation took a wrong turn, just like whoever texted to the wrong number. But at least the police officer had fun with it. The person who texted, probably not so much. But the conversation with the police officer went viral and gave a few people a good laugh.
