Why Climate Change Criers Are Wrong.

 In Domestic

Today was the #ShutdownDC march that threatened to “block key infrastructure” and bring DC to a “gridlocked standstill.” Of course, the best laid plans of mice and children…26 people were arrested, and police cleared most of the roadblocks by early afternoon. And it was all over the climate change hysteria.

It happened at the same time as the UN’s “Climate Action Summit” in New York. Children who have little life experience were turned into into spokespersons for the leftist agenda. Maybe not spokespersons, more like henchmen.

One kid chewed out the UN today in a speech where she screamed that “we’re in the beginning of a mass extinction!”(Daily Wire) No, kid we’re not. Now maybe if one of those asteroids slams into earth ( you know the one that NASA failed to see) …but maybe not even then. They’ve been striking the earth for millennia and we’re still here.

The problem is, though people like Al “not a prophet” Gore doom-and-gloomed us back when, he was wrong. His narrative never came to pass. Why? Because it was an extreme outlook designed to force compliance with a worldwide agenda of control. The UN also pushes that agenda. Now we have children doing the same.

Today during the march, reports of men twerking in the street as people threw confetti at them emerged. How does throwing confetti help the environment? It doesn’t. It just makes a mess someone has to clean up. (Word is they didn’t, by the way). There were banners that claimed “capitalism is killing the planet.” OH, wait, that sounds communist, doesn’t it? It is. Now maybe you see the background of leftists. They have a Communist/Socialist agenda.

Has nothing to do with the planet- it has to do with control. Hysteria has never solved problems. They are certainly giving it the old college try.

Doing, not whining

Did you hear about the Conservative team of Trump supporters that have been cleaning up the homeless encampments in big cities like Baltimore and Los Angeles? No? They have.

The Daily Wire wrote:

In August, a group of Trump supporters led by conservative activist Scott Presler went to West Baltimore for a massive clean-up operation following tweets sent by President Donald Trump highlighting the dire conditions in the area.

Keeping to his promises, Presler has since led clean-up efforts in Newark, New Jersey and Virginia Beach, Virginia. And on Saturday, Presler and some 200 volunteers headed to Democrat-run Los Angeles, removing a stunning 50 tons of garbage, according to the activist.

“Without the help of the city, 200 volunteers picked up 50 tons of trash in 9 hours at a homeless camp in Los Angeles,” Presler told The Daily Wire on Monday.

Left wing “activists” aren’t “active” at all- they know how to complain, whine, and try to belittle everyone who disagrees, but none are willing to actually pick up the mess. The Trump supporters actually DID something.

Fake Predictions

Here are a few of the doom and gloom predictions that never came true from 1970 via AEI:

“Scientists have solid experimental and theoretical evidence to support…the following predictions: In a decade, urban dwellers will have to wear gas masks to survive air pollution…by 1985 air pollution will have reduced the amount of sunlight reaching earth by one half….” Life Magazine JAnuary 1970

“At the present rate of nitrogen buildup, it’s only a matter of time before light will be filtered out of the atmosphere and none of our land will be usable.” Time Magazine,Kenneth Watt

Paul Ehrlich warned in the May 1970 issue of Audubon that DDT and other chlorinated hydrocarbons “may have substantially reduced the life expectancy of people born since 1945.” Ehrlich warned that Americans born since 1946…now had a life expectancy of only 49 years, and he predicted that if current patterns continued this expectancy would reach 42 years by 1980, when it might level out. (Note: According to the most recent CDC report, life expectancy in the US is 78.8 years).

Harrison Brown, a scientist at the National Academy of Sciences, published a chart in Scientific American that looked at metal reserves and estimated the humanity would totally run out of copper shortly after 2000. Lead, zinc, tin, gold, and silver would be gone before 1990.

None of these dire predictions take into account technological advances or ability of the earth to regenerate after disaster. All you have to do is look at the history of the planet and some of the disasters it has undergone. It survived the dreaded asteroid extinction incident. It survived the Ice Age, the Little Ice Age, the warming age, the Yellowstone fires, the Mt St Helens eruption…it seems to do pretty well. Yes there are famines, there have been since antiquity. Yes there are wars over resources, again,  since antiquity.

Taking care of the environment is not about extremes, it’s about balance. Less panic, more picking up your trash.
