The Vindication of Lane Pittman

 In Domestic, opinion, Politics

Jacksonville: Back in July, Lane Pittman was cited for disturbing the peace. His crime? Playing the “Star Spangled Banner,” in public. The enthusiastic crowd that cheered Mr. Pittman during his performance did not appear to be “disturbed” in any way. But the police officers were at least respectful and waited till he had finished the song. This all occurred on the 4th of July.

The system sometimes works

The prosecutor has finally decided to drop all charges against Lane Pittman – some good news for a change.

The original charges also included ‘inciting a riot.’ It was dropped back to just disturbing the peace. The courts were hoping that Mr. Pitman would pay the fine and be done with it.

Mr. Pittman did not just roll over and play dead. He wanted his name cleared completely. He has come out victorious and now has a clear record. Sometimes the system does work.

The problem with this whole thing is really a matter of the police feeling like this situation could get out of hand. They must have felt that someone in this PC society was going to complain about the choice of music. Someone was bound to get offended. So the police chose to be proactive and cite Mr. Pittman.

Oversensitive and downright stupid

Our society has become so overly sensitive to the possibility of offending someone, that we will ban anything.

After all, Patriotism is ‘racist.’ So is the U.S. Flag. But the “Gay Pride” flag isn’t. It fact it gets flown over some city halls in place of the U.S. Flag. The “Stars and Bars” of the South is deemed racist too. “It” killed 9 Black people in church in SC.

Recently we had another hate fueled murder in VA. This time it was on live TV. The murderer was a Gay Black man. The victims were all white. Fortunately, we won’t have to endure a media fueled firestorm defending the “rights” of a murderer. He thankfully did the right thing and killed himself.

I know, that was “insensitive” it might upset someone. I shouldn’t say that. So sue me! I am not Politically Correct. As “The Donald” is quoted as saying,”I am Patriotically Correct!”

Never be ashamed of your patriotism

We should never be ashamed of professing the love of our country and all its symbols. Poems, songs , and most importantly, the Flag. We should proclaim our God and his blessings upon this country. It is ok if you don’t believe in God. It is your right. I respect that. I ask for the same respect in return.

We have a rich and deep history. We have overcome many obstacles and hard times in the course of becoming a great nation. That history needs to be taught and memorized by all… both the good and bad. It’s all important in where we are today as a nation.

We have lost our way to Politically Correctness and the Liberal mindset. We have no one to blame but ourselves. We chose this course of events, but we need to reverse course and return to the things that make this country great and prosperous.

Don’t worry about “offending” someone. Those that are offended by this country would probably bitch about being hung with a new rope. Some just bitch to bitch. You are not responsible for their happiness.

Focus on America

Let’s focus on this country. Pledge our allegiance to our nation and swear to protect it at all costs.

My words to those that want to be offended, GTFO! You don’t like it here. This country is not cut out for you. There are many other choices of countries out there. Pick one and move. We don’t want you here. You don’t want to be here. Pretty simple solution.

Do not expect or demand “We” change to your way of thinking. It is not going to happen. This country is headed for a day of reckoning. “We The People” are pissed off and we have just about had enough of this crap! It won’t matter who you are, no one is immune to the wrath of the American citizen,  the ones who truly believe in the Founding Father’s vision of this country.

I Pledge Allegiance to the flag

of the United States of America

and to the Republic

for which it stands,

one Nation under God,

indivisible,

with Liberty and Justice for all.
