Vigilantes Rage Against Muslim Migrants in Stockholm
Up to 100 men went on a rampage against Muslim immigrants according to the BBC – and anyone else that looked foreign – in Stockholm, Sweden on Friday. The anger erupted after the stabbing death of a 22 year old Swedish worker at a migrant center on January 26.
“It’s enough now”
The local media reported:
Dozens of masked man went on an anti-immigrant rampage in Stockholm in an apparent retaliation for the stabbing death of a young Swedish woman at a refugee center earlier this week, local media reported. The crowd of some 40 to 50 people went on a violent spree on Friday night at around 9 p.m. local time in and around the Swedish capital’s main railroad station, according to the Aftonbladet daily. They were beating up anyone who didn’t look like ethnic Swede. The attackers were wearing black balaclavas and armbands, the video obtained by the tabloid showed.
The men reportedly gave out leaflets showing that they intended to beat up the migrants and to have people gather to assist them. Their slogan is “It’s enough now.” The leaflets said that the “North African street children who are roaming around” would get the “punishment they deserve.”
At around 8:30, one man punched a police officer in the face and was arrested. He has been released. Three others were arrested a half hour later, but they also were released. Some of the men had brass knuckles, and metal rods.
Stockholm Police released a statement that said,
In the documentation available at the present time it is not possible to establish that the persons who were moving in central Stockholm belongs to a particular grouping. The leaflets were distributed is not signed. Police have established a notification regarding the conspiracy to aggravated assault. This is because they scattered leaflets have to gather people to then carry out crimes.
Backlash against Muslim immigrants
Anger is erupting across Europe with people fed up with the Muslim immigrant crisis. Though police have not confirmed exactly who this group were, some said they were linked to “soccer hooligan gangs.”
An Uncle Sam’s source from Europe said, “We the fathers, the brothers, neighbors are here to protect our free way of life, our girls.”
