Veteran’s Day Tribute- From the Commander-in-Chief
Our Commander-in-Chief issued a Veteran’s Day tribute today, in themidst of his Asia trip. President Trump respects and honors the American military, both past and present. On November 10, he issued a proclamation in remembrance of the 50th anniversary of the Vietnam War. Yesterday he honored the 242nd Birthday of the Marine Corps, as he has for subsequent “birthdays” for every branch. They are sentiments from his heart – he means it.

Supporting Veterans – an honor, and a duty
“Our veterans are a national treasure, and I thank them all for their service, sacrifice, and patriotism. To each of you with me today, you are the heroes who fulfill your duty to our nation. And each of you, under the most difficult conditions, did what you had to do, and you did it well.” President Donald Trump addressing Vietnam veterans
If all we say is “thank you for your service” at least that’s something. And if we REALLY mean it, it can change lives. How much more does it mean to have the nation’s Commander-in-Chief and Second-in-Command give heartfelt words of support?
The same can be said for Vice President Pence. He, too, loves the military. And since his own son is a US Marine, and his father was a soldier, it comes naturally. He spent part of the morning cleaning the Vietnam Veteran’s Memorial in Washington DC. Later he laid a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknowns.
Deeply humbling for me to stand before so many heroes at Arlington Cemetery this morning. Our nation owes a debt to our veterans, and it is a debt we can never fully repay – but on this Veterans Day, and every day, we will strive to do just that. pic.twitter.com/VJBViW2WyR

Find a veteran and say, thank you for your service. Thank them for their courage. Thank them for your freedom. And thank them for doing their part to preserve this last best hope of Earth, for ourselves, and our posterity. #VeteransDay pic.twitter.com/oeX0tC19H6

On this Veterans Day, we honor those who served. But as our veterans understand better than most, we also honor their service by ensuring that those serving in our Armed Forces today have the resources & support they need to defend this nation. #VeteransDay pic.twitter.com/0O8LOOvF7N
