US Exits UNESCO – “Cesspool” of Bias
In her parting shot at the UN, Nikki Haley blasted UNESCO as a “cesspool” that is “among the most corrupt and politically biased agencies.” Both the US and Israel formally announced that they were departing in 2017, but the actual departure occurred on January 1, 2019.
UNESCO is among the most corrupt and politically biased UN agencies. Today the U.S. withdrawal from this cesspool became official. #USStrong❤️🇺🇸

The Jerusalem Post noted:
“UNESCO is a body that continually rewrites history, including by erasing the Jewish connection to Jerusalem. Israel will not be a member of an organization whose goal is to deliberately act against us, and that has become a tool manipulated by Israel’s enemies.” Danny Danon, UN Israeli ambassador
“Today is the first day that the State of Israel is outside of UNESCO. UNESCO has joined a long list – Assyrians, Babylonians, Greeks, Romans, Ayatollahs – who deny the eternal connection between the Jewish nation and its capital of Jerusalem. We will be in our capital forever and UNESCO like all those who came before it, will fail.” Michael Oren, former Israeli ambassador to the US.
UNESCO “gave” many Jewish Biblical sites to Muslims, a move which infuriated both the US and Israel, and completely rewrites history.
UNESCO claims that the US and Israel each owe back dues totalling in the millions. The dues were stopped in 2011 when UNESCO “recognized” a Palestinian state.
Here are a couple of examples:
The comments on Haley’s post were a mix of hate and cheers.
Traverse: “You are as cuckoo as Trump. UNESCO isn’t perfect but it has done a lot of good around the world.”
Jackie: As US\Israel exist only to promote Endless War&Death,The Educational,Scientific&Cultural Orgs R viewed as Superfluous!
It seems that political correctness and bias has infiltrated the entire United Nations. And it costs the US a lot of money every year… money that goes to people who hate us and constantly complain about Israel and the United States. Should we up and leave it all? Should we kick the UN out of New York?
The Human Rights Council is another case in point: many of its members are violators of Human Rights and spend most of their time pointing the finger at the US and Israel.
