UC Davis Protests Shut Down Milo Event

 In Domestic

Martin Shkreli and Milo Yiannopolous were supposed to speak at UC Davis over the weekend, but campus police asked the student Republicans to shut down the event due to the danger. Protests had gone wild, even to throwing dog poop in Shkreli’s face. By the way, do these students even know what a “Fascist” is? Not likely.

News reporter Francis Wang from ABC10 captured the progression of the evening:

Ms. Wang also noted that many of the protesters were NOT from the school. She said some were, but some had driven there from the Bay area.

That’s the way of the left -acting like spoiled brats who just can’t listen to anyone but their own side. The reaction was so bad that the University canceled the event and released a statement that read:

The decision was made at about 7:00 pm, 30 minutes prior to the scheduled start of the event, after a large number of protesters blocked access to the venue, and it was determined that it was no longer feasible to continue with the event safely.

“I am deeply disappointed with the events of this evening. Our community is founded on principles of respect for all views, even those that we personally find repellent. As I have stated repeatedly, a University is at its best when it listens to and critically engages opposing views, especially ones that many of us find upsetting or even offensive.” Interim Chancellor Ralph J. Hexter

One person was arrested inside the venue. There were no major damages from the protests, but the shutdown of Freedom of Speech has become the thing to do on college campuses. And they are doing it in the name of “no hate speech.” With outside protesters, it says that the leftists are working hard to shut down ANY speech but their own.

Milo Yiannopolous from Breitbart is an outspoken right wing speaker. He’s not always accepted by people, but he has a right to say what he wants. Martin Shkreli is a total jerk, but he too should be able to speak.  Milo’s events have been canceled previously at other universities. The school may reschedule the event for another day, but it’s likely this will happen again.

As for the protesters, this is what we have to say:
