The Hague Stabbing – Three Injured

 In Foreign

A stabbing at the Hudson Bay store in a main shopping district of The Hague has resulted in at least three injuries. Police stated that they recovered the knife, but were searching for the suspect. The incident occurred just after the London Bridge terror attack. Copycat?

The incident took place in a busy shopping district of The Hague known as Grote Marktstraat. The specific street is full of restaurants and shops of all different kinds. The Hudson Bay store where it took place is a Department Store.

The suspect was described as a “light tinted” man, 45 to 50 years old, wearing a grey jogging suit and shawl or scarf. Police stated that  the stabbings were “random” and not targeted. The Hague law enforcement authorities asked anyone with video footage of the incident or information to please contact them.

Dutch authorities initiated a manhunt for the suspect. Though one media outlet stated that local police had a suspect in custody, no others defined that statement.

“We do extensive research into the stab incident on the #GroteMarktstraat . Due to the complexity and care, this takes time. We understand that there are many questions. As soon as we know more, we will report this via this channel.” Dutch police

Police made several arrests after the incident, but the perpetrator is still on the loose.
