Steve Bannon Removed from National Security Council- the Media Feeding Frenzy

 In opinion, Politics

When the Trump Administration announced that Steve Bannon was no longer on the National Security council, liberals immediately lurched into shark feeding frenzy. But the situation isn’t what it seems – like everything else with liberals.

Using words such as “bumped,” “removed,” “ousted,” “fired,” “kicked off,” etc,  liberals and the liberal press are having a field day being deliriously happy at the news. They view him as a “white nationalist” and “racist” with no experience whatsoever to be an adviser of anything.

All may not be what it seems

Bannon will retain his high security clearance and place as a political adviser, but says his National Security mission is “complete.” According to Fox News, he was placed in the NSC position to make sure that Flynn de-politicized the NSC. Flynn’s successor, Lt Gen McMaster, reportedly succeeded in changing the landscape of the agency.

Reuters suggested that there was infighting between Bannon and the new head of the NSC, McMaster, and that’s why the “shakeup.” They cite “sources” on the council.  The New York Times also reported that McMaster wanted the change. The Huffington Post also reported that Trump was “unhappy” about Bannon being on the Council. So is any of that left wing fake news?

Breitbart reported that he left the NSC because of the Susan Rice Takedown.

Their article stated,

Former National Security Adviser Susan Rice and Obama allies were furious that Bannon was allowed on the council, even though he rarely attended meetings. Rice was exposed earlier this week by reports revealing that she requested the unmasking of key members of Trump’s transition team.

A White House source confirmed to Breitbart News that Bannon will retain his security clearance in the West Wing. Other reporters noted that Bannon could still attend NSC meetings even though he was removed from the National Security council principles committee.

Trump’s Secretary of Energy Rick Perry was added to the council. Nikki Haley, the Representative of the United States to the United Nations was also included as well as Director of National intelligence Dan Coats, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff General Joseph Dunford, and CIA director Mike Pompeo.

“Susan Rice operationalized the NSC during the last administration. I was put on to ensure that it was de-operationalized.” Steve Bannon in a statement to the Wall Street Journal.

It may be that Trump was tired of the NSC being used for political purposes and leaking of intelligence information. Exactly why Steve Bannon, the publisher of Breitbart, was placed on the council in the first place is only known to Donald Trump.

But this story is likely a distraction- and the Susan Rice scandal may just get deeper. Liberals can go fish.
