Silicon Valley wants California to secede after election
So we read this morning that several tech giants in Silicon Valley are making noises like they want California to secede from the U.S. and become its own state after Trump was elected. There’s a reason for that. They gave millions to get Hillary elected and it flopped.
CNN Money reported,
Some big names in Silicon Valley have a simple message after Donald Trump’s victory: We want out.
Shervin Pishevar, an early Uber investor and cofounder of Hyperloop, posted a series of tweets Tuesday night announcing his plans to fund “a legitimate campaign for California to become its own nation.”
And no, he’s not joking.
“Yes it’s serious,” Pishevar told CNNMoney in an e-mail. “It’s the most patriotic thing I can do. The country is [at] a serious crossroads.”
Within hours, several other tech founders offered their support for the plan.
“I was literally just going to tweet this. I’m in and will partner with you on it,” Dave Morin, an investor and founder of private social networking tool Path, tweeted in response to Pishevar.
“I support you in this effort let me know what I can do to help,” Marc Hemeon, a former Google employee and founder of Design Inc., wrote on Twitter.
Money money money
Of course all their bluster and fussing is because most of the political money in the Silicon Valley was pledged to Hillary Clinton.

And then there was Google:

Yes, the Silicon Valley, and big corporations really were in the pocket of Clinton. 91% of their money was spent trying to get Clinton into the White House.
The problem is this: Donald Trump is a businessman. Stimulating the economy by lowering taxes and making a business-friendly environment is something he is well acquainted with. Why would they go with Hillary? Corruption, collusion…it’s all connected.
