Seattle Stabbing- Naked Suspect Arrested
In a Seattle stabbing on Tuesday, a naked suspect was placed in custody. Seattle Police reported that three people were injured when a man began a stabbing spree near the Nordstrom Store in the downtown area (6th and Olive Way). Two people were transported to Harborview Medical Center and are stable, one was treated at the scene and declined to be transported. The suspect ‘stripped off his clothing’ and divested himself of the knife when he fled.

Just what police love to deal with, a naked man who stabbed people. Likely on something, probably not particularly lucid.
The SPD press release stated:
Just after 10 AM, police received reports that a man had stabbed three people near 6th Avenue and Olive Street. One of the victims ran into a nearby store while the suspect fled the scene. Officers took the man into custody near 8th Avenue and Pine Street. Police also recovered the knife and the man’s clothes, which he had stripped off as he ran from officers.
A 75-year-old man was stabbed in the neck and a 77-year-old man was stabbed in the back. Both were transported to Harborview Medical Center and are in stable condition. A third man, believed to be between 55 and 60 years old, was stabbed in the forearm and was treated at the scene but declined further assistance.
Police described the incident as “random” and “unprovoked.”
Downtown Seattle became a quagmire of traffic as law enforcement blocked off a couple of streets.
Breaking: 6th Ave is closed from Pike St and Olive Way between Nordstrom and the Nike Store. It's best to avoid downtown Seattle – seeing lots in congestion in the heart of the City as a result of the stabbing. @KOMONews #KOMOTraffic pic.twitter.com/xc8ivII7pz— Paris Jackson ✨ (@parisjKOMO) July 9, 2019
In the audio, you can hear a dispatcher refer to the suspect as a white male in his 30s and wearing a green shirt. In a subsequent update, the dispatcher says that the suspect is now “completely naked” and “completely nude.” One emergency responder says that one of the victims, a male, was stabbed in the back. Less than five minutes after the stabbing is first discussed, the dispatcher confirms that the suspect is in custody.
Some people are unhappy with the dangers in downtown Seattle. Will it get as bad as downtown San Francisco or Los Angeles? Only time will tell.
