Roy Larner, Hero of 2017 London Bridge Attack, Now on UK Watch List
Roy Larner was hailed as a hero after the London Bridge jihadi attacks on 2017. He risked his life so that others around him could escape, and he has the scars to prove it. Now, the UK is treating him like the terrorists he fought, all because someone from an anti-islamist group contacted him. No this is not satire.
At one time people spoke of Roy Larner as “the Lion of London Bridge” because of his bravery that fateful day. The jihadis stabbed him 8 times. His action to bare-handedly take on the three knife-wielding terrorists (one of whom was also a well trained kick-boxer) allowed the rest of the patrons in the bar to escape. He actually lived through the ordeal. He is a hero. But the UK has pegged him as a possible “extremist.”
Authorities have ordered him in to attend “de-radicalization” classes. Read that, “re-education classes.” Big Brother in Britain has managed to turn a hero into a threat. It likely can be laid at the feet of London Mayor Sadiq Khan, although the entire British government has fallen for politically correct nonsense.
Summit News reports:
Because he was allegedly contacted by far-right anti-Islam activists, Larner has been put on the government’s Prevent terror watchlist over fears he might become an extremist.
“They treat me like a terrorist but I’m not political at all,” said Larner, who revealed he has been forced to attend de-radicalization classes and is being monitored by the police.
Despite being hailed as a hero after the attack, with speculation that he could even be given the George Cross, the highest civilian award for gallantry, Larner is now literally being treated as a potential terrorist by his own country.
The United Kingdom is so addled with political correctness, it treats those who fought back against Islamic jihadists as terrorists.
Hopefully, the London Bridge hero will be able to wend his way through the police monitoring and other brainwashing stupidity so that he continues to be a Lion.
