Questions Surround Jeffrey Epstein’s Death

Questions surround Jeffrey Epstein’s death after the billionaire was found dead in his jail cell on Saturday. So many questions have arisen that Attorney General William Barr has opened an official investigation.

“I was appalled to learn that Jeffrey Epstein was found dead early this morning from an apparent suicide while in federal custody. Mr. Epstein’s death raises serious questions that must be answered.” AG William Barr

Off suicide watch

How was it that a man who had been on suicide watch just three weeks before was able to hang himself in his cell? The prison claims he was no longer on “suicide watch.” Why?

Fox noted:

The Bureau of Prisons confirmed that he had been housed in the jail’s Special Housing Unit, a heavily secured part of the facility that separates high-profile inmates from the general population…

… “Unequivocally, he should have been on active suicide watch and therefore under direct and constant supervision,” former federal prison warden Cameron Lindsay told the AP, adding that if Epstein’s suicide is confirmed, it would represent “an unfortunate and shocking failure.”

No standard cell checks

Statements have come out that the guards also did not perform their standard checks for about 30 minutes Saturday. Was it really a “cell maintenance” issue that kept them away?

People who have decided to commit suicide are often “in good spirits” because they’ve made their decision, so that particular statement doesn’t say one thing or another.

Jeffrey Epstein fought hard for bail- being able to go home to his mansion. He was denied. It seems odd that after fighting so hard he’d just pack it all in.

How did it happen?

In the first “suicide attempt” there was no mention of what item put the marks on his neck. Bedsheet? Belt? Wire? Cord? Rope? Was the item close to him when he was found? He was found in a fetal position the articles said, but not one of them mentioned the actual item that caused it. It was thought to either be a ruse to get transferred, a suicide attempt, or some sort of assault. Was THAT the time someone tried to kill him as he stated?

The news said that he hanged himself on Saturday. With what did he do that? Why do we ask? Because the item could speak to the truth- did someone from the outside bring something in or was he just creative?

Murders can and do happen behind bars. High Profile Mob Boss Whitey Bulger was killed by blunt force trauma while serving a life sentence in US Penitentiary Hazelton for numerous murders.

Even in secure areas, killers abound. Which is why Epstein was being kept away from the main prison population.

Legacy of sex crimes

Whether or not Epstein would ever have ratted on his partners in crime is a question that now can never be answered. The bad guys are not off the hook, thanks to newly released documents, and some of them may be having a great case of nerves after Epstein’s demise. The question isn’t whether Epstein deserved to die, the question is how did it happen?
Or who?

“Every single person in the Justice Department — from your Main Justice headquarters staff all the way to the night-shift jailer — knew that this man was a suicide risk, and that his dark secrets couldn’t be allowed to die with him.” Sen Ben Sasse (R-NE)
