The knife fight broke out at around 4:45 a.m. on Sunday in front of a Hookah Lounge in Queens. According to one witness, a woman was trying to break up the fight when the car jumped the sidewalk and deliberately rammed into the crowd. Several witnesses stated the car seemed to “come out of nowhere” and “hit the whole group.”

“The bodies went flying. The car was going really fast, at least 50 mph on the sidewalk.” Witness “Rogers”

One person was deceased at the scene. Five people were transported to the hospital from injuries received in the car incident. One of them is in critical condition, the others stable. The two stabbing victims are also said to be stable.  Total carnage: 8.

The NYPD says one person is in custody, but not the driver of the suspect vehicle. A manhunt has ensued for the driver, who was driving a white Hyundai Sonata.

Police are not investigating this as a terrorist incident due to the initial brawl at the hookah lounge.
