President Donald Trump: Ask Him to Defend the Second Amendment on All Fronts (video)
As you may know, myself and our Uncle Sam’s Misguided Children Tribe are huge President Donald Trump Supporters. We appreciate what he’s doing economically, socially, & internationally for our country. He has been shown to be one of the hardest working Presidents we’ve had since Lincoln. Every promise he has made he has kept except one: to defend the Right to Bear Arms at all costs.
“The 2nd Amendment does not apply to full automatic or semi-auto rifles, nor does it apply to bolt action rifles, pistols, or revolvers. The 2nd Amendment ‘RESTRICTS GOVERNMENT’. The technology of the firearm, accessories, nor age limit are completely irrelevant. The restrictions on government remain the same, regardless of the firearm. The Second Amendment was not written to grant permission for citizens to own and bear firearms. It forbids government interference in the right to keep and bear arms, period. The right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed. It’s not difficult to understand.”
We have had more gun control laws passed during Donald Trump’s presidency than Obama’s, and this is a critical problem within our current MAGA supporting groups. We must not sit idle and have another push for gun control as we had with the Bump Stocks, or raising the age limit to 21 in some states including Florida, or the push for Red Flag Laws.
This will be one of those very few times where I won’t defend our President on his stance on guns, accessories or on the topic of silencers. I believe that our President is in need of strong second amendment people around him that can evoke an education on what the right to bear arms is and not just ‘Yes Men’ like some folks in the NRA.
So I’d appreciate it if you share my message to our President.
As a concerned American citizen and communism survivor, I’d like to clearly educate President Donald Trump that “silencers” (the original patented name for suppressors) are one of the most regulated accessories a law abiding gun owner can acquire.
In remarks made by President Donald Trump yesterday as he departed for his state visit to London, he commented on the recent shooting in Virginia Beach in which the gunman used a suppressor on his firearm. When asked for his views on silencers, the President remarked, “I don’t like them at all.”
Twelve people died in the horrific massacre in Virginia. The investigators have stated that a silencer was used. The fact of the matter is that while MSM is pushing fake news on how a silencer works, the same people who have called an AR-15 an “assault military style weapon” or whatever other idiotic non-shooter term, are not telling the actual facts.
A silencer doesn’t make the gun silent like in the movies, it suppresses the sound. The name silencer is the original patent name, and is no different than the muffler on a car (and uses a similar technology). You can, in fact, still hear gunshots, as the police officers at the scene were able to find the gunman and kill him because of the gunshots.
Interestingly, the President’s son, Donald Trump, Jr, has previously promoted the benefits of firearm suppressors for hearing safety and accuracy, while condemning the distorted depictions of silencers by the media. He stated that it’s a great safety tool and would benefit greatly especially for teaching children firearm safety or hunting.
In the case of bump stocks, ATF overstepped its regulatory and statutory power in re-defining terms by which machine guns are regulated. Specifically, ATF said devices that could “increase the rate of fire” of a firearm could be deemed a machine gun and therefore banned. Of course, such an expansive approach could later be applied to an ever-widening range of firearm parts, such as magazines, triggers, etc.
Like machine guns, silencers are heavily regulated under the National Firearms Act (“NFA”). A person, or a legal entity may own a silencer by submitting an application to ATF, along with the responsible person’s fingerprints and photographs and a $200 “tax stamp” payment. Possession of NFA firearms may not be shared, unless they are owned by a trust or other legal entity. This can take from 10 days to over a year wait, depending on whether they are even legal in your state.
President Donald Trump needs to know that it’s not up to him to interpret our Constitutional rights or to make laws against them when his views are different than the people. Our Second Amendment is a right that “Shall Not Be Infringed.” It’s the Second Amendment that will defend him against a coup d’etat from the Deep State.
It’s we, the gun owners of America, not the Military, not the Police, who will fight to defend our Republic and our Sovereignty. If that day ever comes, the President has the most powerful Army this world has ever seen. We will defend him and his family as much as he has defended ours.
But if the Trump Administration continues to push to support gun laws, it will lose respect in the second amendment community. Always remember, it’s hard to trust someone who can’t keep a promise. We all know that if Obama or Hillary were President, we would be on the streets right now protesting against this very same issue or at least fuming about it.
The good news is, there’s a way to get our President to change his views or help him see ours. Contrary to former Presidents, Donald Trump’s White House staff actually takes calls and delivers these messages to our President. I do not want to hear excuses and social media complaints: this is an opportunity that should not be wasted.
Make the call to the White House and educate the President on your grievances, especially if you are one of his supporters. Do it in a professional way, but make it happen. If you sit around complaining but don’t get involved, then you are as much a part of the problem as those who don’t do anything.
