Philadelphia – Driver Runs Down Pedestrian. Terrorist or Bad Driver?
Philadelphia Police are exploring the possibility that a terrorist deliberately ran down a pedestrian in a car at around 7:30 a.m. on Monday morning. An off duty police detective briefly scuffled with the aggressive driver, and shot him in the head. The man was pronounced dead at 10:15 a.m. this morning.

Police were advised at 7:30 a.m. by a bicycle officer that a black Honda with Maryland plates was driving erratically. The driver appeared to intentionally strike a pedestrian, who flipped onto the hood of the black Honda. An off duty officer happened to be in the area, and confronted the driver. The driver immediately became “aggressive.”
A scuffle ensued, after which the officer shot the man in the head. At least six shots were fired according to officials. He reportedly gave verbal warning before using his service weapon. The officer was slightly injured in the incident and was treated and released from the hospital.
The injured pedestrian is said to be in critical condition, but his injuries are non-life-threatening.
The driver was from Arlington, Virginia, according to 6ABC. His name has not yet been released.
