Outrage – Erick Erickson Shoots the News…paper

 In 2nd Amendment, opinion, Politics

Liberals have gone bonkers over an image posted by Erick Erickson, a Conservative radio personality,  yesterday – the image of a New York Times Editorial with bullet holes in it. Yes, Erick shot the newspaper full of holes. And frankly, that editorial deserved to be shot full of holes. Not the editor, the newspaper. He shot it from top to bottom, intentionally not making a “group” to show its ridiculous content.

Erick Erickson shot holes in the NYT editorial

We take what the editorial staff of the New York Times Newspaper says with a grain of salt. Erick took it  with a 9mm however-the-heck-many-grains are in his bullets. And that editorial sooooo deserved to be a target.

The editorial entitled “The Gun Epidemic” literally blamed the San Bernardino shootings on the guns. Stop the guns. Stop the violence. blah blah blah.

Here’s an excerpt:

“Certain kinds of weapons, like the slightly modified combat rifles used in California, and certain kinds of ammunition, must be outlawed for civilian ownership… The editorial went on to argue that an act to outlaw such weapons would “require Americans who own those kinds of weapons to give them up for the good of their fellow citizens.” NYT

Right. Like ANY terrorist would give up their guns voluntarily especially if they were about to wage “Jihad” against the “infidels.”  That New York Times Editor is a dimwit.

As for Erick, his response to the editorial is quite unique. And he did issue an apology, of sorts.

These people are insane, filled with rage, and flat out funny. Suggesting that shooting the front page of the New York Times is the equivalent of ISIS destroying Palmyra and killing its citizens has to be the icing on the cake. That the Catholic Democrats twitter account is the one that suggested it makes it even better.

Then there are the truthers. When not holding on to the idea that George W. Bush brought down the World Trade Center, they’re certain I stabbed the New York Times with a pencil because they see what looks like lead on it.

I have not gotten this good a laugh out of the left since they all melted down after I called Wendy Davis “Abortion Barbie.”

We don’t always agree with Erick on everything he says or believes. But we got a huge laugh out of this one. Carry on, Erick!
