Obama promises 28% cuts on emissions for climate treaty
The climate change cult is succeeding in spite of a total lack of evidence. Obama promised that the United States would cut its greenhouse emissions by 28% by 2025 as the offering to the climate treaty on Tuesday. He had already pledged us for 17% by 2020. What does that mean to you?
Higher prices for any kind of energy. Maybe even a loss of availability for certain kinds of energy.
Executive orders- a constant stream of them
Since Obama has been in office, he has signed numerous Executive Orders regarding the Climate Change Agenda…which is a strong plank of the “Agenda 21” United Nations Model. Through executive orders, he has promoted pollution limits on power plants, stricter vehicle emissions limits, and initiatives targeting specific gases like methane and hydrofluorocarbons.
Many of those actions are facing legal challenges, and hopefully will be abandoned after he leaves office.
In November of 2013, Obama signed one that was far-reaching in scope over America’s Natural Resources.
Sec. 3. Managing Lands and Waters for Climate Preparedness and Resilience. Within 9 months of the date of this order and in coordination with the efforts described in section 2 of this order, the heads of the Departments of Defense, the Interior, and Agriculture, the Environmental Protection Agency, NOAA, the Federal Emergency Management Agency, the Army Corps of Engineers, and other agencies as recommended by the Council established in section 6 of this order shall work with the Chair of CEQ and the Director of the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) to complete an inventory and assessment of proposed and completed changes to their land- and water-related policies, programs, and regulations necessary to make the Nation’s watersheds, natural resources, and ecosystems, and the communities and economies that depend on them, more resilient in the face of a changing climate. Further, recognizing the many benefits the Nation’s natural infrastructure provides, agencies shall, where possible, focus on program and policy adjustments that promote the dual goals of greater climate resilience and carbon sequestration, or other reductions to the sources of climate change. The assessment shall include a timeline and plan for making changes to policies, programs, and regulations. Agencies shall build on efforts already completed or underway as outlined in agencies’ Adaptation Plans, as discussed in section 5 of this order, as well as recent interagency climate adaptation strategies such as the National Action Plan: Priorities for Managing Freshwater Resources in a Changing Climate, released October 28, 2011; the National Fish, Wildlife and Plants Climate Adaptation Strategy, released March 26, 2013; and the National Ocean Policy Implementation Plan, released April 16, 2013.
He signed an executive order in September of 2014, forcing businesses that engage in international commerce to follow strict guidelines that promoted “climate resiliency.” In March, he signed yet another order for federal agencies, demanding that they also prepare for “sustainability” in the “climate change” to come.
In addition, he has sacked the coal industry, causing thousands of job losses. He vetoed the Keystone Pipeline, preventing thousands more jobs. He and his environmental cronies have stolen land, water, and resources from ordinary citizens, whether in the name of Climate Change or “endangered species.”
These orders all cost us money, and for many, even their property rights.
Climate change – the religion of the elite
In spite of Al Gore and his multi-billion dollar agenda, Climate Change is a load of, well, bull methane. The American Meteorological Society recently published a study that states that the amount of carbon dioxide emissions cause less “warming” than previously thought. But they won’t believe it.
Cyclic changes in in the earth’s weather -“warming” or “cooling” have been evident in the ice records of Antarctica and other areas. but the gurus of climate change refuse to listen or change, and actively punish those who do not follow their religion.
While we always hope that one day the studies will stop the Climate Change “hysteria,” we can rest assured that it will continue as long as true believers in it exist. Obama’s pledge to cut emissions by 2025 will place further restrictions on American industries. To what end? If you were to ask them, it would be that soapy “lead by example” answer. It’s a different agenda entirely.
