New York Times Reveals Identity of CIA Undercover Operative

 In opinion, Politics

The New York Times doesn’t just publish anti-Trump hate, it seems to think it’s OK to publish the name of a CIA Chief in charge of operations in Iran. And the agency said he was still undercover.  Did they do it to sabotage the Trump Administration’s initiatives against Iran?

The article “C.I.A. Names New Iran Chief in a Sign of Trump’s Hard Line” reads in part:

The C.I.A. declined to comment on Mr. D’Andrea’s role, saying it does not discuss the identities or work of clandestine officials. The officials spoke only on the condition of anonymity because Mr. D’Andrea remains undercover, as do many senior officials based at the agency’s headquarters in Langley, Va. Mr. Eatinger did not use his name. The New York Times is naming Mr. D’Andrea because his identity was previously published in news reports, and he is leading an important new administration initiative against Iran.

In the past, outing CIA operatives, and especially Chief operatives has proven deadly.

May 7, 1984. CIA Chief in Lebanon William Buckley was kidnapped as he left his residence. He was tortured for days and weeks, and finally murdered in 1985. Three video tapes of the torture were sent to the CIA.

In 1988, Marine Colonel Rich Higgins was also captured and tortured to death in Lebanon. One friend of Col Higgins described his death-
“If I were to describe it to you now – which I will not – I can guarantee that a significant number of people in this room would become physically ill.” U.S. diplomat Fred Hof

These horrific killings were conducted by Hezbollah, which is sponsored by IRAN. The CIA chief in Afghanistan was forced to leave the country after his name was outed in 2010 – he had been tracking Osama Bin Laden. Then when the Obama administration allegedly “accidentally” released the name of the CIA station chief in Kabul in 2011, they exposed him to possible kidnapping and death from terror groups.

So let’s review: The New York Times justified revealing the CIA person in charge of Iran operations because his name was previously published back in 2015. But that was a different program than this one. The NYT completely ignored the CIAs pleas in 2015 NOT to publish the name. Now they’ve done it again, this time in even more critical situation- a nation that is difficult for them to operate in. Was this purposeful? You can make bets on it.

Is Michael D’Andrea here in the states?  Or is he in Iran? Even if he is at Langley, he’ll now have a price on his head.
