New Jersey Art Festival Shooting – One Suspect Dead, 20 Injured

 In Domestic

A fight broke out at an all night New Jersey art festival in Trenton early Sunday morning leaving at least 20 people injured, 16 of them from gunshots. Four people are listed as critical, including a 13 year old boy, who is “extremely critical.” One suspect is dead, another is in custody, and police are attempting to determine if any others are involved.

The fight erupted at around 2:45 a.m. Sunday at Roebling Wire Works Building, where the 24-hour “Art All Night” festival was taking place. The event began Saturday afternoon and was scheduled to go until Sunday afternoon. It reportedly draws thousands of event-goers. Authorities stated there were around a thousand people inside the Roebling Wire Works building at the time of the shooting.
The remainder of the event has been canceled.

“It absolutely could have been worse given the confined space and the number of shots that appear to have been fired.” Mercer County Prosecutor Angelo Onofri

The Mercer County Prosecutor’s office Homicide Task Force will take the lead in the investigation, due to the possibility of an officer-involved shooting. The deceased suspect is a 33 year old male, but it is unclear at this point whether officers killed him or someone else. Officers did engage at least one suspect during the melee. The ATF is assisting the investigation.

An intense search through the warehouse found multiple weapons, according to the Mercer County Prosecutor’s office.

As usual, the leftists are screaming gun control (in a rigid gun control state), but these were most certainly NOT your average law-abiding gun owners that began shooting in the middle of a crowded venue.
