Middleton, Wisconsin – Multiple People Shot at Software Company
WTS Paradigm Software company in Middleton, Wisconsin was the scene of an active shooter situation on Wednesday morning in which five people were shot, one of which was the suspect. Multiple ambulances were seen taking victims away from the scene.
As of 12 pm, a massive police response had gathered at two industrial buildings on Deming Way near the Greenway Station shopping Center. Police evacuated some of the people in the businesses involved. No fatalities have been reported, but the suspect is reportedly in critical condition.

According to Fox10, the shopping mall nearby was on lockdown, as were the other businesses and local schools in the immediate area. Police continued to move reporters back from the scene, but witnesses stated it was now “stable.” The lockdown on local schools were lifted at around 12:20 p.m. local time.
At one point, a reporter stated she saw snipers on the rooftops, but they were removed once the incident was contained.
The FBI was on scene assisting local law enforcement.
The incident occurred at about 10:00 a.m. local time as police responded to reports of an active shooter at the business complex on Deming Way.

Just spoke with a witness to the Middleton shooting who didn’t want to be named. He said the shooter was an employee of WTS Paradigm and that he saw at least one person who had been shot in the shoulder taken away by ambulance.

The Journal Sentinel reported that at least two officers may have been involved in taking the shooter down. Employees were finally released to leave the buildings.
Police specifically told witnesses not to speak with reporters, and directed them to congregate at the Greenway Station. Chief Foulke did not answer any questions other than to confirm the number of victims and that the shooter was (neutralized) and subsequently hospitalized.
