Mass Sexual Assaults at Weekend Music Festival in Germany

Mass reports of sexual assault have emerged from the Schlossgrabenfest music festival in Darmstadt, Germany on Saturday. What began as a complaint by three women has burgeoned to more, as women are coming forward to tell of being surrounded by Muslim men and sexually “harrassed.”

Surrounded by Muslim men

By Tuesday, 18 women have come forward, and authorities expect more.

Three men so far have been arrested, all are “asylum seekers.” The first 3 are from Pakistan, and range in age from 28 to 31. Police are searching for at least 3 more men who may be involved.

According to the Independent UK,

Police said three women reported being groped at the Schlossgrabenfest music festival in Darmstadt on Saturday saying they had been encircled then sexually harassed by a group of men.

According to the German publication Die Welt, the women were on a dance floor that was packed with people when they were groped. And the pattern was reportedly similar to the mass attacks by refugees in Cologne and other places in Germany.

The attacks continue

RT reported,

The women added that the pattern of the attacks was similar, as they were surrounded by a group of men, who proceeded to assault them sexually.

The festival in Darmstadt took place over four days and attracted some 400,000 revelers.

These attacks come just over two weeks after two female teenagers, 17- and 18-years-old, were sexually harassed by a group of 10 men during a street festival in Berlin.

The men allegedly pressed against the teens and groped them, blocking their attempts to escape.

Police arrested three teenagers aged between 14 and 17 at the scene, while they tweeted that the three suspects were known to the police from prior incidents, adding that “two are of Turkish descent and the third is [of] unknown [origin].”

Germany in trouble

Germany will spend billions on its refugee population in an attempt to integrate them into its culture. But with incidents such as the mass attacks in Cologne on New Years Eve and others across the country, favor for the refugees has fallen drastically.

The police Chief in Cologne resigned a week after the reports from the backlash against the police for their failure to investigate the incidents.

They have tried “flirting classes” to teach the Muslim men how to interact with European women. But the incredible chasm between Islamic views and European ones puts the effectiveness of such ideas as unlikely to succeed.

Not everyone is happy with the refugees coming in –  German police have investigated 45 cases of arson at refugee camps since the beginning of the year. Vigilante groups who want to protect women have also spring up in various places.
