Life Meets Art in USAF EMP Weapon? Video

Raytheon has come up with an EMP weapon – Electromagnetic Pulse weapon dubbed “CHAMP.” This little gem has been successfully tested since October 2015 at the USAF laboratory at Boeing Phantom Works.  Raytheon received a $4.8 Million contract in March 2016 to continue its research to make it the payload of a Conventional Air-Launched Cruise Missile (CALCM).

And it just so happens to come out at the same time as a movie is being created called “AmeriGEDDON” – about America after an EMP hit that is orchestrated by the US Government. Shudder.

CHAMP

CHAMP stands for “Counter-electronics High-powered Advanced Missile Project.” The program hopes to develop 5 EMP missiles that can destroy an enemy’s systems.

“In the near future, this technology may be used to render an enemy’s electronic and data systems useless even before the first troops or aircraft arrive.” Keith Coleman, Boeing Phantom Works’ CHAMP Program Manager

The U.S. has come under fire for being vulnerable to EMP from our enemies. Our power grid, our society, our very way of life is under attack daily from various places. As all of our military cyber warfare commands are working hard to prevent such a tragedy, analysts say that even a short few years without electricity /computer/etc would likely kill much of the population. Not counting the resulting martial law.

Real life problem

In March of 2015, Iran endorsed an EMP attack on the United States. In documents from a “secret” Iranian handbook, the discovery raised new concerns about the American power grid.

Though the threat seems remote and even unlikely that our enemies have developed such a weapon, the fact that we have already developed one at least capable of knocking out an enemy’s systems makes the hair stand up on the back of my neck. Espionage, secrets stolen, all of it is possible and even likely.

Art imitates life? Or life imitates art?

So IF you want to watch this movie trailer for AmeriGEDDON, be my guest. And think about what happened to the Army Veteran director of a similar movie called Gray State…David Crowley and his family were killed…uh… suspicious they said, before the movie could be completed.

This movie is done by Mike Norris, son of Chuck Norris.  We assume he has inherited his famous father’s martial arts and firearms skills. He might need them.
