Lake County Deputy Uses an AR-15 to Rescue Girl From a Gator

 In 2nd Amendment, Domestic

Florida -Liberals are always telling us that an AR-15 is only good for killing people. But there is one young lady in Florida that was rescued from an alligator by a Lake County Deputy and his AR-15.

Jordan Broderick, 15, was floating on a raft last week in the creek near Forest Service Road near Alexander Springs park in the Ocala National Forest. Suddenly she found herself targeted by a large alligator.

In a frantic move, she grabbed the branch of a tree that was overhanging the water. But the alligator didn’t budge. It sat at the base of the tree “hissing” at her for at least 30 minutes as she clung to the branch. As the minutes ticked by, her mother called 911 in near-hysterics.

“My daughter’s stuck in a frickin’ tree and there’s gators surrounding her! Oh my God! Please hurry! Please hurry!” Jordan’s Mom to 911 Dispatcher

Jordan was becoming tired from hanging on to the branch and was screaming in fear. When a Lake County Deputy arrived, he knew that the Marine Unit to trap it would be another 20 minutes away. So he grabbed his Bushmaster AR-15. His presence didn’t scare the gator away, so he took aim from about 4 feet away and shot once, killing the animal.

“My presence failed to scare the alligator away, and it began encroaching on my area at which time I fired one single 223 round from my Bushmaster AR15 killing the alligator.” Deputy Mitch Blackmon

Wildlife officials wanted to remind people that during the end of mating season, alligators are more aggressive, so people should be cautious of where they are swimming.
