Kingsville, Maryland Man Shoots at Trump Supporters.

 In opinion, Politics

This last few years has been hell on wheels for Trump supporters. They vilified, attacked, injured and even killed for supporting the President. Now some Trump supporters in Kingsville, Maryland were shot at because they honked their horn at a neighbor. The neighbor was putting up a Black Lives Matter sign in his yard when a truckload of Trump supporters drove by and honked the horn. The neighbor had a shotgun, leveled it at the truck and fired.

CBS Baltimore reported,

Neal Houk and his son said they honked their horn at a neighbor putting up a Black Lives Matter sign.

“He reached down. He had a shotgun right there, pulled it out and pointed it right at [us],” Houk said. “And we were in disbelief. Next thing we heard was a shotgun blast.”

Another neighbor on his back deck corroborated the quick shot.

“We didn’t see it. We heard it and it was indistinguishable that it was a shotgun,” said neighbor Todd.

No one was hurt, but police tracked down the man they said fired the shot.

“We see what’s going on in the country, and I really didn’t expect it right here at home,” Houk said.

Police were able to locate the neighbor and arrest him. The suspect was identified as Douglas Kuhn, 50.  They also confiscated a 12 gauge shotgun.

Todd, the other neighbor, said that Kuhn had a couple of signs stolen previously.

“For someone to take it that far, you gotta be filled with a lot of rage to go out and put a sign up and carry a 12-gauge with you. Hopefully, this division in the country can get better because it’s not good.” Neighbor Todd

Stealing signs on either side of the aisle is repugnant. People are entitled to their opinion. Leave people alone. And you can’t convince people who are as fritzed out and even dangerous as Mr. Kuhn, so don’t even try. It could mean your life in this political climate.

Neil Houk said his honking of the horn was “good natured.” He stated he had never met Mr. Kuhn, and that the gunshot rattled he and his son. It’s when you think people are normal and they’re not that bad things happen.

Kuhn faces numerous charges, including assault, reckless endangerment, and a felony firearms charge. The charges can be punishable by up to 100 years in prison. Houk doesn’t want him to be punished that severely.
