International Holocaust Remembrance Day – Or Have LibsTwisted it?

 In History, opinion, Politics

January 27 is designated as the International Holocaust Remembrance Day. It is the anniversary of the liberation of the Auschwitz-Birkenau concentration camps at the end of WWII.

USA Today reported,

Dozens of survivors gathered with political leaders and representatives of Poland’s Jewish community at the site where Germany murdered about 1.1 million people during World War II, mostly Jews from across Europe, but also Poles, Roma, Soviet prisoners of war and others.

Poland’s Prime Minister Beata Szydlo, who is from the Polish town where the Auschwitz memorial and museum is located, recalled the “destruction of humanity” and the “ocean of lost lives and hopes” in Oswiecim.

“It’s an open wound that may close sometimes but it shall never be fully healed and it must not be forgotten,” she said.

Dozens of Auschwitz survivors began a day of commemorations by placing wreaths and flowers at the infamous execution wall on the 72nd anniversary of the camp’s liberation by Soviet soldiers. The United Nations recognized January 27 as International Holocaust Remembrance Day in 2005, and many commemorative events were taking place across the world on Friday.

“On this annual day of commemoration, the UN urges every member state to honor the victims of the Nazi era and to develop educational programs to help prevent future genocides.”

Into this day which is supposed to support Jews and stand with them against Anti-Semitism worldwide, comes the politicized messages of the left.

As people ignore the genocides committed by Islamic terrorists across the world, and the UN openly sides against Israel, the truth has been turned on its head. It is no longer a reminder of the Holocaust.

Now it has turned into an anti-Trump day. Even though he stands firmly with Israel, the left has hijacked the Remembrance Day to tell their own version of history.

Here are some of their views:

The survivors of Auschwitz-Birkenau know exactly what terror is. They know what it is like to watch real death, and to see loved ones die before their eyes. They know about real persecution.

It was never about “intolerance.” It was never about all the liberal bs about everyone “getting along.” The Nazis – and Hitler in particular- operated out of pure hatred, just as our liberals of today. Comparing that hatred to Donald Trump or his actions is disgusting and wrong.

If there are any Fascists around, they are the liberals.
