ICE Deportations: Media, Illegals, ACLU Not Happy

 In Domestic, Foreign, Politics

The Mainstream media, illegals, and the ACLU are obsessed with deportations after Donald Trump’s executive order. What may have gone under-reported in previous years is now a concerted effort to over-react to what they think they see. ICE claims that their actions are nothing out of the ordinary.

Here are some of the headlines: check out the sympathy play

Arizona deportation

Guadalupe Garcia de Rayos was deported this week back to Mexico. Her attorneys say that her deportation was a result of Trump’s Executive order. The headlines have been stuck on her case because it left her husband and two children here…because they are “anchor babies” or people who are US citizens based on where they were born.

ICE officials deny that her deportation had anything to do with President Trump. Why? Because the removal order to deport her was finalized in 2013, and she had no legal right to stay here after her felony conviction.

When she went to check in with Immigration- because she was CONVICTED OF FELONY USE OF A SOCIAL SECURITY CARD  (oh, never mind, just a little nonviolent offense, and she did it for love, ya know)- she was arrested and sent back home to Mexico. The van she was riding in was temporarily blocked by protesters, many of whom were arrested.

De Rayos was handed over to Nogales, Mexico officials.

Yet the narrative of the news media continues to blame Donald Trump, attempting to get sympathy for this woman who broke the law while she was here. And the issue was settled in 2013, so if anything, it’s Obama’s fault.

Texas Prison, then Deportation

Another woman, Rosa Ortega, who was convicted of voter fraud in Tarrant County stands to be deported. She was convicted and sentenced to 8 years in prison for the offense, after which she will be sent back to Mexico. Because she’s the mother of 4, news media are once again hoping to gain sympathy for her case.

She went to register to vote in Tarrant County and admitted she was illegal, so was rejected. But then she told them she had been voting already in Dallas County, so they checked into her case. She claimed to be a US citizen on her application in Dallas County. The jury didn’t believe her attorney’s claim of a “learning disability.” So she is going to prison and then back home.

Los Angeles Deportations- the sweep

When ICE conducted multiple raids around 11 a.m. on Feb 10, immigration attorneys got slammed with panicked phone calls. The raids took place in Van Nuys, San Bernardino, Downey, Santa Paula and Oxnard.

ICE was immediately accosted by the ACLU, claiming this was due to Trump’s Executive order. One person claimed that some of the people caught in the ICE net were not violent offenders, or just had a “speeding ticket.” Let’s remind them: both of the two cases listed above were not considered “Violent offenders.” But they were felons who committed crimes against Americans.

“Our operations are targeted and lead driven, prioritizing individuals who pose a risk to our communities. Examples would include known street gang members, child sex offenders, and deportable foreign nationals with significant drug trafficking convictions. To that end, ICE’s routine immigration enforcement actions are ongoing and we make arrests every day.” ICE statement about the raids

Hysteria is running rampant around the country, with protesters blocking ICE and anyone else from doing their jobs.
