Heads Up, America. Bloomberg Wants to Rid Congress of Republicans
Former NYC Mayor Michael Bloomberg, 76, plans to sink $80 Million into Democratic candidates in an effort to get rid of Republicans in the House of Representatives. His plan is to remove the current Republican majority from power, and that means at least 23 more seats they’d have to grab. But Bloomberg has big money at his fingertips so don’t get complacent, and many think he can sway the elections.
The New York Post reported,
Bloomberg, an independent who backs gun control, progressive immigration reform and efforts to fight climate change, has approved the plan to use the funds to flip the House, the New York Times reported.
In a statement, Bloomberg took the “absolutely feckless” Republican leadership to task for failing to check President Trump or provide oversight of his administration.
“I’ve never thought that the public is well-served when one party is entirely out of power, and I think the past year and half has been evidence of that,” he said, adding that Republicans “have done little to reach across the aisle to craft bipartisan solutions — not only on guns and climate change, but also on jobs, immigration, health care, and infrastructure.”
He plans on buying TV ads (some of us don’t watch TV), using mail (I throw those mailbox things in the garbage- bet you do too), in an effort to get those 23 seats. He is spending almost 2.5 times more than Republican Casino magnate Sheldon Adelson donated to the House Super PAC. Many analysts believe he could sway the midterm elections with that kind of money.
So your job now is to rise up and show this leftist billionaire that it’s the REAL people of America that will vote down his plans. If we can pull out the 2016 Presidential election when it was nearly guaranteed for Clinton, then we have great hope of preventing more leftists from getting into Congress.
But you can’t stay home and eat popcorn. You MUST get off that couch and get to the polls. Drag your cousin Clara and your Uncle Charlie with you. Or get them an absentee ballot and make sure they turn it in. Primaries are just as important as the main elections! November is rushing toward us – but there are numerous prikmaries in between and tey will determine whether you get a RINO, a Leftist Dem, or a good person who will serve the constituents.
