Gal Gadot – Real Life Wonder Woman?

 In Entertainment

The Movie Wonder Woman was released on June 2, 2017. As of June 11, it had raked in over $205 Million domestically and over $230 Million in foreign markets. The production budget was only $149 Million. Why such a success for a little known film that had hardly any pre-release marketing? Gal Gadot, the woman who played Wonder Woman, and the female director Patty Jenkins (@PattyJenks).

But all has not been perfect in Camelot, as the movie has been banned in some Muslim Countries. Tunisia, Lebanon, and Algeria, with Jordan thinking about it. Not that she cares, since Gal Gadot is Israeli and a former soldier in the IDF- Israeli Defense Forces.

Gadot is a former 2004 Miss Israel, and spent her required two years in the IDF. While in the military, she was a fitness instructor and taught calisthenics and gymnastics to the Israeli army.

Gadot as Miss Israel

“The soldiers loved me because I made them fit.”

She is from Rosh HaAyin, Israel. She does not like Hamas because she knows what they have done, so don’t approach her with any “Free Palestine” slogans. Which is why Muslims have banned the movie.

This post from 3 years ago garnered 19,000 comments, some of which are not so nice.

She has played in movies before, “Fast and Furious” being one of them. But from the ravings of fans on Twitter, it appears Wonder Woman is a huge hit across all age groups. It is rated PG-13.

Wonder Woman, according to Marvel Comics, was an Amazon. You remember them…tough, beautiful, etc, etc, etc. While most “super hero” movies are somewhat boring, fans seemed to fall in love with Gal Gadot’s character. Oh and by the way, she filmed portions of the Wonder Woman movie when she was 5 months pregnant. Maybe, just maybe, Gal Gadot really IS Wonder Woman.
