Four Police Officers Hurt, Suspect Dead in Oklahoma Gunfight – Explosion

Talihina, Oklahoma – Blue Lives Matter reported that four Oklahoma State Troopers were injured when a house exploded as they were attempting to serve a drug-related search warrant. The suspect was shot and killed. Officials believe the man rigged his house to explode. The explosion started a fire and spread to several other buildings. The police officers had non-life-threatening injuries.

The incident occurred on May 11 at around 6 a.m.. Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics, Oklahoma Highway Patrol, and Talihina Police were involved in serving the warrant for a drug lab, according to KFSM. The man opened fire on officers. Sometime during the gunfight, the house he was in exploded, catching several other buildings on fire.

The suspect was killed during the gunfight. He was well known to officers and had a long criminal history.
