Do Not Speak to Me About Gun Control

 In 2nd Amendment, opinion

Do not speak to me about gun control. Do not speak to me about more laws infringing on my inalienable right to bear arms.

“We hold these Truths to be self-evident, that all Men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain inalienable rights, that among these are Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness….” US Declaration of Independence.

“…the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed.” 2nd Amendment

This past week I have seen our Republican friends applaud measures for gun control and I am at a loss for words. Two weeks ago the Democrats were cornered on their Russian fake news lies, uranium, money laundering, pay outs etc.  Then suddenly, we have a shooting that takes 17 innocent lives.

Imagine if this was in our Military. Could you imagine the crackdown as to who was responsible? Not just about the killer but those who failed to do something about the red flags, signs and all around information that was shared about the individual to the FBI and the Local Police. Our Military would have had a court martial and everyone involved would have been paying the piper.

Don’t talk to me about gun control when the most important issue here isn’t a mentally unstable person who shot 17 people. Or even whether or not he was under the influence of prescription drugs that cause psychotic behavior. The most important issue here is that our federal investigation service dropped the ball. They were too busy making Russian fake news on Donald Trump. 30 calls to the FBI, a dozen made to the police, several visits to the house and not one single person, including those who took the killer in after his mother died, did a damn thing about it.

But let’s go ahead and push for more laws that infringe on our right to bear arms because they work so damn well. Let’s be honest with each other, if these gun control laws were being passed under Obama or Hillary every Conservative Republican would be up in arms. So what’s the difference?

As you know I am big supporter of our President and law enforcement but I will never negotiate my rights to bear arms for the sake of temporary safety. Remember Benjamin Franklin’s statement: “Those who would give up essential liberty to purchase a little temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety.”

Our current security is frail, disloyal to the current administration, a security that will have no problem whatsoever knocking on our doors and confiscating guns. The same ‘red coats‘ that murdered Lavoy Finicum. These are plants that were placed by Obama and are still loyal to the last administration.

Don’t talk to me about gun control when four deputies cowered down behind their cars and buildings waiting as a psychopath strolled through the halls of a school only few feet away leaving the carnage of dead bodies everywhere.

Don’t talk to me about gun control when these same deputies were there two minutes into the attack and the attack lasted six minutes, plenty of time for them to get in and take down the assailant. Why aren’t we speaking about their incompetence or lack thereof and how to fix it, so that it never happens again? No amount of gun control will ever fix those issues at hand. We had JROTC students who displayed more courage than those deputies that day, including Sheriff Israel.

Do not talk to me about gun control when our own Government sold arms to the Drug Cartels and armed ISIS and yet not one single person is behind bars. The issue of gun control has gone too far and is time that folks get their head out of their asses and pay attention to the agenda being played.

Our country, our rights will last as long as we continue to defend it. But every day, every second, every year, new measures, new laws are being created to take away those rights. And before you blink, one day in our future you won’t even remember what these rights were in the first place or if they ever existed.

Tyranny doesn’t come overnight, it creeps in. It is subtle and if history shows us anything…it is usually requested by fearful victims.

Don’t talk to me about gun control when an NRA certified trainer with an AR15 stopped a madman after killing innocent church goers.

Don’t talk to me about gun control when most mass shooters are Democrats.

When the only reason the red coats didn’t slaughter innocent people at the Bundy ranch standoff was because we had patriots armed with an AR15s ready to fight.

Don’t talk to me about gun control when you keep misusing the words ASSAULT RIFLE to describe anything that looks like an AR15 single shot rifle. Don’t talk to me about gun control when you don’t know the difference between single shot, semi automatic and fully automatic rifles.

Don’t talk to me about gun control months after 58 people died in Las Vegas, one suicide of a lone gun man, two windows, able to bring to a hotel 20,000 rounds of ammunition, an arsenal of guns and all we can say about the deadliest shooting in history is that we need to ban bump stocks.

Who cares that ISIS claimed responsibility? Who cares that there is no video footage from the casino? Who cares that there are so many unanswered questions which seem that we will never know?

The bottom line, my fellow Uncle Sam’s Misguided Children, is that we have bigger problems in our government and FBI that we should be taking care of, rather than spending our time infringing on the rights of law abiding citizens.

“Any law which violates the inalienable rights of man is essentially unjust and tyrannical; it is not a law at all.” Maximilien Robespierre
