DC Election Night Stabbing Melee, Multiple Victims

 In Domestic, opinion

A DC election night stabbing incident left mutiple victims, including Enrique Tarrio, leader of the Proud Boys and Bevelyn Beatty, a pro-Trump activist who poured black paint over the Black Lives Matter mural in front of Trump Tower. The injuries were described as serious, but non-life-threatening. One Proud Boy was stabbed in the neck, and one in the ear. The incident occurred as the Proud Boys members saw a person being stabbed and intervened to help. No arrests have been made.

Bevelyn Beatty and a friend were attacked by unknown assailants. She was slashed in the back. The Proud Boys group saw the incident unfold and moved in immediately to stop it.

Black Lives Matter members were initially listed as the suspect group. But after they complained, DC police changed the narrative. It appears from the video that the attackers could have been Antifa because of the black bloc clothing style, but since they were Black, police first described them as BLM.

Jen Loh, former president of Latinos for Trump, is a videographer who was present  and heard Beatty state that she had been stabbed.

The New York Post reported:

Loh told Storyful that the attackers appeared to target Beatty. “If it wasn’t for the three or four Proud Boys that were there, she would have been stabbed and really brutally beaten had they not saved her from the attack,” Loh told the agency.

Tarrio told the Gateway Pundit that the injuries were “very serious, but not life-threatening.”

“Bevelyn got stabbed as well as two Proud Boys and the guy they were attacking. I got slashed, but it’s not serious,” he said.

DC police spokesman Lt. Ralph Neal initially told local media that the suspects were members of Black Lives Matter — which the group’s DC-branch called “a LIE!”

The protest group had “nothing to do with these stabbings,” BLM DC tweeted. “Shame on [Chief of Police Peter Newsham] and [DC Police] for sharing false information,” the group said.

The force changed its account and told WUSA9 that it could no longer confirm the suspects were affiliated to BLM, the station said.

Police have not yet made any arrests.
