Commie West Point Grad Hates James Mattis too..uh-oh
Commie West Point Grad Spenser Rapone is in deep trouble. Not only has the US Army opened an investigation into his recent Communist activities while in uniform, it appeared that he also called James Mattis an “Evil, vile F***” which is a clear violation of Article 88 of the UCMJ.
Update: SOFREP has reported that Rapone was dropped from Ranger School for insubordination (no surprise). They reported:
The Ranger Instructor (RI), who does not wish to be identified, confirmed that he was present and witnessed firsthand multiple acts of defiance and disrespect from Lt. Rapone to various members of 5th RTB, to include senior enlisted personnel and officers, which included sharing his political beliefs which run counter to the interest of the United States and could easily be construed as those consistent with an “insider threat.”
We wrote about him the first time here:
“…Second Lieutenant Rapone’s actions in no way reflect the values of the U.S. Military Academy or the U.S. Army. As figures of public trust, members of the military must exhibit exemplary conduct, and are prohibited from engaging in certain expressions of political speech in uniform. Second Lieutenant Rapone’s chain of command is aware of his actions and is looking into the matter. The academy is prepared to assist the officer’s chain of command as required.” West Point statement
We hope they tackle his entire Twitter feed to find these gems. First, his opinion on James Mattis.
Then he even took a shot a Vice President Pence.
Article 88 states:
“Any commissioned officer who uses contemptuous words against the President, the Vice President, Congress, the Secretary of Defense, the Secretary of a military department, the Secretary of Transportation, or the Governor or legislature of any State, Territory, Commonwealth, or possession in which he is on duty or present shall be punished as a court-martial may direct.”
To be clear, Rapone is a 2nd Lt in the United States Army, a Graduate of West Point. He is a “commissioned officer.” He is also in one whopping bunch of trouble. Perhaps he skipped the day they studied the UCMJ in classes?
His words are most definitely “contemptuous.” While an officer’s personal opinion or disagreement with superior officers would not be subject to prosecution, “contemptuous” means that other people were able to see them. The tweets were on his Twitter account, which all of us saw. The account now has been locked down. If that’s an attempt to avoid prosecution, we hope that political correctness will not apply.
The Army has opened an investigation (kinda late, that’s my personal opinion. They should never have allowed him into the USMA in the first place.) It does, however, tell us that there are likely way more of these birds in the military than we’d like to think.
Here’s a class mate of his, Suhanraj Rajasegaran:
Feeling safe now that you know these people are in your military? People who advocate a system of government that desires to overthrow the US?
