Case for the Wall – Cpl Ronil Singh’s Brother Reggie Singh with President at Border Meeting

 In Politics

President Trump went down to the border today to meet with Border Patrol agents at a Round Table discussion in McAllen, Texas. But he also had a guest with him: Reggie Singh, Cpl Ronil Singh’s brother. Newman Police officer Cpl Singh’s murder has been in the news recently, since he was gunned down by an illegal alien in the early morning hours of December 26.

“The way he was killed, what my family’s going through right now, I do not want any other family law enforcement person to go through that. Whatever it takes to minimize, put a stop to it my family fully supports it… At 33 years old, my brother was cremated. And I had to go and pick up his remains. No one should ever, ever have to go through that…Looking at that 5 month old baby looking for his dad, no one should ever have to go through that…” Reggie Singh as reported by the Modesto Bee.

Reggie spoke of his brother’s life long desire to become a police officer in America, and the journey of their family to become legal immigrants and citizens. His life was cut short by Gustavo Perez Arriaga, a man with numerous aliases, and a long criminal record…a man who had no right to be in the United States.

As the agents in the room and the President gave Mr. Singh a standing ovation for his remarks, the President embraced him, saying, “We’re with you.”

The President took comments from agents during the roundtable discussion, but it was Reggie Singh’s testimony of loss that touched the hearts in the room as he fought back tears. He expressed to the President that he needs to do whatever it takes to prevent this from happening to someone else.

California’s outgoing governor Jerry Brown told reporters that his “sanctuary law” had nothing to do with Singh’s death. Law Enforcement begged to differ on that. As Democrats both in California and in Congress continue to do their own thing against the citizens of America, cases like Officer Singh stand out as testimony against their hardness of heart.

“Some claim that building a wall is a “medieval solution” to a modern problem. The wheel is an ancient solution too. Nobody’s complaining about that. POTUS is on target. Walls do work; as in the days of Ezra and Nehemiah, walls are still viable solutions.” Alveda King, Niece to Martin Luther King Jr at CNS News
