Candace Owens Hands Democrats a Lesson about Hate

 In Politics

On April 9, the House Judiciary Committee held a hearing on hate crimes. Among the persons chosen to speak before the committee was Conservative Candace Owens. Depending on the news media you pay attention to, she either soundly blasted them and called out their lies, or had her own remarks “come back to haunt her.”

Owens not only shared her own experience of being victim of a hate crime, but she spoke of things which make Democrats uncomfortable. Her 74 year old Grandfather was sitting behind her. He instilled no hate in her life as she was growing up. And she took them to task over the narratives being pushed in her opening statement which said in part:

There isn’t a single adult today that in good conscience would make the argument that America is a more racist, more white nationalist society than it was when my grandfather was growing up and yet we are hearing these terms center around today because what they want to say is that brown people need to be scared which seems to be the narrative that we hear every four years right ahead of a presidential election.

Here are some things we never hear. 75 percent of the black boys in California don’t meet state reading standards. In inner cities like Baltimore within five high schools and one middle school not a single student was found to be proficient in math or reading in 2016. The singlehood–these single motherhood rate in the black community which is at 23 percent in the 1960s when my grandfather was coming out is at a staggering 74 percent today.

I am guessing there will be no committee hearings about that. There are more black babies born–there are more black babies aborted than born alive in cities like New York and you have Democrat governor Andrew Cuomo lighting of buildings to celebrate late-term abortions. I could go on and on. My point is that white nationalist–white nationalism does not do any of those things that I just brought up. Democrat policies did. Let me be clear the hearing today is not about white nationalism or hate crimes, it is about fear mongering, power and control.

If they were serious about the rise of hate crimes they may (INAUDIBLE) examining themselves and the hate they have drummed up in this country. Bottom line is that white supremacy, racism, national–white nationalism, words that once held real meaning have now become nothing more than election strategies every four years the black communities offered handouts in fear, handouts and fear. Reparations and white nationalism. This is the Democrat preview. Of course society is not perfectible. We have heard testimony of that today. There are pockets of evil that exist in those things are horrible and they should be condemned. But I believe the legacy of the ancestry of black Americans is being insulted every single day. I will not pretend to be a victim in this country…  Candace Owens via RealClearPolitics transcript

Yep that made them uncomfortable. In particular Rep Ted Lieu, who tried to trap her by playing an edited clip of her remarks about Hitler. Now if you’ve read ANY history at all, you’d know that Hitler hated black folks. Candace Owens is black. So to insinuate that she was justifying the Nazi dictator is absolutely absurd. She simply took issue with everyone calling him a “nationalist.”

“I think it’s pretty apparent that Mr. Lieu believes that black people are stupid and will not pursue the full clip in its entirety. He purposely presented an extracted clip.”

The statement brought a rebuke from Jerry Nadler, who thought she was calling Lieu stupid. She did not, and she told him so.

“I didn’t refer to him as stupid, that’s not what I said. That’s not what I said at all. You didn’t listen to what I  said… Even though I have been referred to as a despicable speaker I did not say he was stupid. The question was whether or not I believed in nationalism and whether I felt that nationalism was bad…I do not believe we should be characterizing Hitler as a nationalist. He was a homicidal psychopathic maniac who killed his own people. A nationalist would not kill his own people.” Candace Owens via C-Span transcript

It was tumultuous hearing, with some media saying that she “lied” -of course most left wing media call the President a liar too. It’s how they operate. Left wingers said she turned it into a circus. In fact, the Democrats made it a circus by attempting to ‘shine on’ a person who has lived through everything the hearing was meant to discuss. It didn’t work- she saw right through them.

She only spoke the truth about state of the Democratic party. They are becoming more and more of an embarrassment to this country with their obstruction and lack of concern for the very people they were elected to represent. Nadler is an no nothing politician who’s time is at an end.
