Black Lives Matter Shows Up At Officer’s House To Harass
Philadelphia, PA – A group from Black Lives Matter protested the shooting of an armed black man by a Philadelphia Police Officer in front of the officer’s private residence. Why? Because the city released his name immediately.
The Philadelphia Police came to the officer’s home and formed a line in front of it to protect the officer and his family.
The black man shot was an armed felon who was legally barred from being in possession of a gun. Officer Ryan Pownall shot David Jones after a struggle. Blue Lives Matter reported,
“He had stopped Jones, felt a gun on Jones while conducting legal frisk for officer safety, and then got into a struggle with Jones who had tried to get the gun out before he was shot.”
Black Lives Matter doesn’t care about circumstances. They don’t care about criminal records. They don’t care about the law because they feel the law is prejudiced against them. But the lawless actions of some of their people are what is causing the problem- and they can’t see it because they are blinded by hate.
The local Fraternal Order of Police union sent a letter to the city, advising that they were in court seeking an injunction against releasing names in officer-involved shootings. While that’s not likely to happen, at least in this case, the release of Officer Pownall’s name so quickly could have been life-threatening for his family.
Black Lives Matter has been known to chant things like:
“What do we want?”
“When do we want it!”
In this case the person with the live video repeatedly used profanity and called police “f***ing Pigs,” “f***ing murderers” while another man with a bullhorn walked around yelling as well. Black Lives matter never believes a shooting is justified, and their vitriol against the police seems to grow with every situation.
The officer-involved shooting is under investigation both through the State Police and the District Attorney’s office.
