Five People were transported to the hospital after a mass stabbing incident at the Hunt Valley Towne Center in Baltimore County on Saturday afternoon. The attacker was killed by police.
Police received a call at around 1:43 p.m. on Saturday about a suspect who was being aggressive with customers and demanding money. They were told he had a “boxcutter.” As police were enroute, they received another call about a stabbing at the Hunt Valley Wine Liquor and Beer Store in the mall.
When they arrived, they found 4 stabbing victims. They also learned that the suspect fled to Noodles and Company in the same mall, where he stabbed a fifth victim.
Police engaged the suspect, and learned that he did not have a “box cutter”, but a 3 inch knife. When the suspect failed to drop the weapon, police shot and killed him.
An off-duty Fire Captain at the shopping mall rendered aid to one of the victims. All of the 5 victims were said to have non-life-threatening injuries, but were transported to local hospitals.
