Another Kabul Attack Kills at Least 43, Wounds 83 More
Another major Kabul attack in Afghanistan on Tuesday left at least 43 dead and 83 wounded, according to Stars and Stripes. The death toll is expected to rise. Interestingly, the attack came on the day of celebrations for their prophet’s birthday. At first the Taliban took responsibility, then the tweet was deleted and they denied doing it. The death toll is expected to rise.
A few minutes after bloody terrorist attack in Kabul today; the speaker of Taliban terrorists took responsibility of the attack in which more than 50 people were killed. He then eliminated his tweet and wrote that they have no responsibility. Here is the screenshot. #KabulAttack pic.twitter.com/dox2fujrvF

The hypocrisy of the Taliban can be seen in these two tweets. Initially they commended the attack but now they are condemning it. It’s crystal clear that these animals are the enemies of the humanity. #KabulAttack pic.twitter.com/6fk7nJfuWA

The suicide attack took place at the Uranus Wedding Hall during both a religious celebration for Mohammed’s birthday, and a wedding. Most of those killed were religious scholars from the Ulema Council- the rest were civilians.
Stripes reported,
A suicide bomber walked into the gathering and blew himself up during a reading of the Koran from beginning to end, Interior Ministry spokesman Najib Danish said.
The blast occurred about two miles away from the Kabul airport, where hundreds of U.S. troops are based on a NATO compound…
…The gathering Tuesday should have requested police protection but didn’t do so, police spokesman Basir Mujahid said. Wedding halls such as Uranus normally provide their own security.
The U.S. ambassador to Afghanistan extended his sympathy to the families of the victims Tuesday.
“Sickened and deeply saddened by tonight’s terror attack as the Ulema Council marked the Prophet’s Birthday,” Ambassador John Bass said on Twitter. “I extend our condolences to the families and followers of those killed and wounded.”

The US has been attempting to broker a peace deal with the Taliban as we previously reported. The problem comes with incidents like this one that never seem to stop…and the addition of numerous other terror groups in the country. It is unclear why the Taliban spokesperson would first claim responsibility and then change his mind and condemn the attack.
