America – Marxism, Communism Not Acceptable!

Yesterday, October 20, 2020, Rick Ferran went to a public hearing at the Sarasota School Board. He reminded people that our freedoms are being torn apart, suffocated by the Marxism currently being promoted in America.
Here are his comments, with video:

My name is Rick Ferran,  I am a Taino descendant a Latino legal immigrant, communism survivor and a disabled US Marine Veteran. I am a Sarasota resident and parent to one of your students. I am here to be a reminder of the American freedom we have forgotten, the American unity we have lost by the toxic control of those who have corrupted the halls of our justice system & media. I am the reminder of the sacrifice made in our veteran national cemetery’s fighting tyranny, communism, fascism and oppressive systems around the world.

I am speaking against the oppression of masks and the foolish idea of defunding our police or the indoctrination of Marxist socialists organizations in our American schools.

Never in a million years would I have thought I would stand here and remind you as a communism survivor how important our freedoms are, and not to live in fear, to stand for our American values, and support all of our first responders. If you had experienced what Marxism has done to my birth country you would be standing here with me to wake up each and everyone of you.

This isn’t our first rodeo folks. We Americans have had to deal with much worse. But since I won’t change your mind, I will ask you to look around again. We are all Americans, races, religions, genders – all Americans. But in today’s climate, those who want to maintain power at all costs have divided us by politics, races, divided us by mask wearer and non wearer, white shirts, red shirts… divide and conquer is the daily agenda.

As I stand here as your local resident, many of those speaking today do not live in our county and/or don’t even have children in our schools. But I do; I represent the silent majority.

Tell  me why South Dakota is doing so well? A state that also did not lock down or has a mask mandate. As I stated, I have served my nation honorably and I believe it’s the American way to choose for one self and not suppress other people’s freedoms while doing them. Remember you are Americans first.  If you feel safer wearing a mask then wear the mask, but if you are healthy and have a strong immune system and you choose not to than that’s also your freedom.

Marxism socialism has no place in our country. Two years ago we all asked for more law enforcement to provide a secure environment for our children, and now we hear from a Marxist organization they want to defund our police. But those same folks want the police to enforce mask mandates.  This isn’t a rational thought.

I will leave you with this, as I stated I served my nation honorably, I took the same oath you also took. My oath has no expiration date and I will continue to defend our constitutional rights against enemies foreign and domestic. I will protect my child and other children from the toxic dangers of Marxism indoctrination in our schools. If you support Marxism, socialism, fascism, or communism in any way shape or form you are an enemy of our constitution, you are an enemy of our American freedom way of life.

Ronald Reagan said (it) best “Freedom is never more than one generation away from extinction. We didn’t pass it to our children in the bloodstream. It must be fought for, protected, and handed on for them to do the same, or one day we will spend our sunset years telling our children and our children’s children what it was once like in the United States where men were free.”
