Abington, PA: POLICE FAIL TO KILL ANOTHER SUSPECT!

 In Domestic

ABINGTON, PA. Police Headquarters

ABINGTON PA. A suburb just outside Philadelphia:

A man’s attempt to commit “suicide by cop” ended without the loss of life overnight when an Abington Township police officer was able to grab ahold of the man’s handgun during struggle and squeeze off all of its rounds safely before handcuffing him, authorities said.

This incredible real life story is just one of thousands of incidents where our nation’s police officers go above and beyond the call of duty to save people’s lives.

The officers involved in this incident are clearly lucky to be alive, as the suspect was suicidal. Suicidal suspects are often the most dangerous, since they aren’t worried about taking another human being’s life. They consider their life over or worthless, and their goal is to end it all.

Unable to take their own lives, these people seek a fatal confrontation with the police, or “Suicide by Cop” as it’s known. In these types of scenarios, the suspect will confront the police with deadly force leaving them little recourse but to use deadly force in return. In the process though, police officers are often killed or injured.

That exact scenario played out today in Abington:

The Blink of an Eye

About midnight, an Abington officer spotted the individual in the North Hills section of town in the area of Limekiln Pike and Elm Avenue. The man was calm and cooperative. A sergeant arrived on scene for backup. After talking with the man the officers said they were going to help him, Molloy said. “They were about to pat him down when he reached into left front pocket and pulled out a fully loaded .38-caliber revolver,” said Molloy.

As usual the police arrive on location and engage a citizen with the best intentions, to help them out. After lulling the police into what may be considered a false sense of security, the suspect suddenly produces a weapon.

Luckily sound police work and a little luck were on the side of the police in this case. The gun was produced while the police were patting the suspect down. This is where the incident became a life or death struggle:

Instantly, the sergeant grabbed the man’s arm to try and gain control of the gun and a struggle ensued, he said. At five-feet-eleven inches and 260 pounds, the man was a match for the two physically fit officers, said Molloy. The sergeant, an 11-year-veteran, made a “split second” decision to aim the weapon into a vacant garage and pulled the trigger, emptying the gun of all its rounds.

Make no mistake about it, these police officers are heroes, plain and simple. Had things gone even slightly differently, this incident could have ended up in death or serious injury for both the cops and the suspect.

Had the police officers been farther away for example the suspect may have been able to squeeze off multiple rounds at the officers. Had the officers been even slightly overpowered during the struggle they could have easily been shot.

The officers could also easily have shot this suspect giving him exactly what he wanted. Instead he will get the treatment he needs, as the officers intended when they first arrived on scene:

Molly said an ambulance would take the man to the Norristown State Hospital. Criminal charges will be filed to make sure he gets the help he needs, he added.

Analysis: MSM and Their False Narratives.

What I think needs to be understood here is this: incidents like this happen far more often than police involved, fatal shootings. Calls for police service that are positive and successful rarely make the nightly news. This is a direct reflection of the media bias and the immoral values possessed by much of today’s main stream media (MSM).

Most media outlets are left leaning and make no attempt to hide it. If you couple this with a left wing candidate like Hillary Clinton who hates the police and has not been endorsed by the major national police organizations you have situations where the MSM act irresponsibly in their coverage of crime and law enforcement in general.

This corruption in the media leads directly to situations like Ferguson, Baltimore and Charlotte where the flames of civil unrest are stoked by false and irresponsible media reports and political correctness. Will we see the Black Lives Matter crowd descend on Abington to rally around these police officers for their heroic actions in the early morning hours? Of course not.

As of this writing the race of the suspect has not been released nor has any personal information on the police officers. Such details are immediate and fundamental to every police shooting we hear and read about yet somehow in a case like this they are deemed irrelevant.

I could go out on a limb and hypothesize that the police officers involved are white and the suspect is black but that would make me like every other MSM hack, writing the narrative before the facts were in.
