2020 SOTU – Trump’s Triumph, Democrats Demise
Tuesday night’s 2020 SOTU speech was filled with hope. Democrats, on the other hand, were the picture of negativism, with Democrat House speaker ripping up Trump’s speech at the end. Trump scored points; Dems may have incurred their final demise.
The White House responded to her action:
“Speaker Pelosi just ripped up: One of our last surviving Tuskegee Airmen. The survival of a child born at 21 weeks. The mourning families of Rocky Jones and Kayla Mueller. A service member’s reunion with his family...That’s her legacy.” White House Tweet
Did Pelosi signal defeat with the ripping of the President’s speech? She claimed she couldn’t find any truth in it anywhere. She is a liar. The problem with Democrats is they can’t see the forest for the trees. They only see agendas, they only work to keep themselves in power, they never work for the American people. Pelosi’s petty action was the illustration. They are constantly offended and enraged.
“President Trump seized the moment last night with a “powerful, patriotic” State of the Union message to Americans across the political spectrum. …And then House Speaker Nancy Pelosi reinforced his message with her oh-so-symbolic ripping up of the text. What, other than channeling the alienation of the Democratic base from the great American center, was she thinking?” New York Post
2020 SOTU guests – the optics
If optics were important at the speech, the President won the night. He honored one of the last remaining Tuskegee Airmen, Charles McGee, 100, and his great-grandson Iain Lanphier.
Iain, 13, wants to join the new US Space Force, and has been working hard toward that goal by being the top graduate of the Aerospace Career Education program, sponsored by the Organization of Black Aerospace Professionals. He received a standing ovation.
Iain wasn’t the only one to get an ovation: his great-grandfather Charles McGee was granted an honorary promotion to Brigadier General at the White House earlier in the day.
“Charles McGee was born in Cleveland, Ohio, one century ago… After more than 130 combat missions in World War II, he came back to a country still struggling for Civil Rights and went on to serve America in Korea and Vietnam. On December 7th, Charles celebrated his 100th birthday. A few weeks ago, I signed a bill promoting Charles McGee to Brigadier General. And earlier today, I pinned the stars on his shoulders in the Oval Office. General McGee: Our Nation salutes you.” President Trump
The President honored a single mother whose daughter Ellie was born prematurely, and spoke about the children having the right to be born and to thrive. Ellie is now thriving two years after being born at only 1 pound.
He honored Jody, the brother of Rocky Jones, a man who was brutally murdered by an illegal alien, and spoke of the bane of sanctuary cities releasing criminals. He offered legislation to allow victims of illegal violence to sue the sanctuary states.
He honored Deputy Chief of the Border Patrol, Raul Ortiz.
He honored Juan Guaido, whom has been called the only legitimate President of Venezuela.
“Socialism destroys nations. But always remember, freedom unifies the soul.” President Trump
He honored Tony Rankin, a man who was freed from addiction to see his life completely changed through the President’s Opportunity Zones investment program.
He honored Janiyah Davis, a young girl who wanted to go to a productive school in Pennsylvania, but wasn’t able to get an Opportunity Scholarship because the Democrat Governor vetoed the legislation. The President got her one.
Rush Limbaugh, who recently disclosed a diagnosis of advanced lung cancer, was presented with the civilian Presidential Medal of Freedom award by Melania Trump during the 2020 SOTU. Limbaugh’s direct charity work and radio program have inspired hundreds of thousands of Americans. Democrats were not happy.
Amy Williams has two young children She has worked hard to help other military families while her husband was deployed. She was reunited with her husband in a surprise at the 2020 SOTU.
Amy Williams is a military spouse and mother of two young children.
She works full time and devotes hundreds of hours to helping military families, all while raising her two children as her husband serves his fourth deployment.

Carl and Marsha Mueller, parents of Kayla Mueller, were honored by the President. Kayla was captured and held by Abu Bakr A-Baghdadi, then murdered. The Special Forces Op that killed him was Task Force 8-14 – her birthday, August 14. No one forgot.
Sgt Christopher Hake’s wife Kelli and her 13 year old son were in attendance. Sgt Hake was killed by a roadside bomb in Iraq in 2008 – a bomb reportedly planted by Qassem Soleimani.
“Our message to the terrorists is clear: You will never escape American justice. If you attack our citizens, you forfeit your life.” President Trump
There were heart wrenching moments with tears flowing for many of the honored guests.
The 2020 SOTU had moments where the Democrats tried to rudely shout down the President- he just spoke louder. The Republicans chanted things like “USA, USA” and “4 more years” much to the chagrin of the leftist politicians.
President Trump did not speak to the impeachment circus, but he did challenge the socialist Democrat agenda.
“One hundred thirty-two lawmakers in this room have endorsed legislation to impose a socialist takeover of our healthcare system, wiping out the private health insurance plans of 180 million very happy Americans. To those watching at home tonight, I want you to know: We will never let socialism destroy American healthcare.”
The President believes in America, and his speech was extremely clear. He says the best is yet to come, but Democrats want to send it all backwards to remove all the forward momentum created by Donald J. Trump.
“This nation is our canvas, and this country is our masterpiece. We look at tomorrow and see unlimited frontiers just waiting to be explored. Our brightest discoveries are not yet known. Our most thrilling stories are not yet told. Our grandest journeys are not yet made. The American Age, the American Epic, the American adventure has only just begun.
Our spirit is still young, the sun is still rising, God’s grace is still shining, and, my fellow Americans, the best is yet to come.” President Trump
