101 People Arrested in Child Prostitution Sting (Video)
In a two county investigation called “Operation L and P” across Lake and Polk Counties in Florida, authorities busted 101 people in a child prostitution sting that netted numerous employees of theme parks. Ahmed Saleem, 23, a former member of CAIR, and founder of a Muslim Youth Academy was also among those arrested.
Last week, 22 people were arrested when they traveled to a home in Clermont, Florida in hopes of having sex with a child between the ages of 10 and 14. 79 others were charged with offenses related to prostitution. It was a two-phase investigation that concluded on Tuesday after a two week effort.
According to the press conference, among the arrestees was a man who owned two Jaguars and collected food stamps.
Many of the arrestees had jobs working with children. Some at SeaWorld, DisneyWorld, and Universal Orlando. SeaWorld stated that the men were no longer employed at their theme park.
The Muslim among them
Saleem’s license plate read “Invest in children.” He was the founder of Saleem Academy, and organization which supposedly “empowered Muslim youth.” He also was the Orlando coordinator for CAIR (Council on American Islamic Relations) from Feb to April of 2015. All of his websites have been taken down. CAIR distanced themselves from Saleem, saying that they were “disgusted” by his behavior.
“He’s well known as a community outreach leader interacting with teens in and around the Orlando area.” Grady Judd, Polk County Sheriff’s Office
Officials from Polk and Lake Counties are hoping that these arrests will send a message to those who engage in child sex chat rooms, etc. that such behavior will not be tolerated.
A culture of pedophilia
Sexual abuse of children is commonplace in many Muslim nations. Though it is illegal here, eradicating it may prove difficult, since justification is found from the practices of Islam in foreign lands. In an article from 2010 for the Guardian, Shaista Gohir writes,
I recently saw the documentary on the Dancing Boys of Afghanistan. It exposed an ancient custom called “bacha bazi” (boy for play), where rich men buy boys as young as 11 from impoverished families for sexual slavery. The boys are dressed in women’s clothes and made to dance and sing at parties, before being carted away by the men for sex. Owning boys is considered a symbol of status and one former warlord boasted of having up to 3,000 boys over a 20-year period, even though he was married, with two sons. The involvement of the police and inaction of the government means this form of child prostitution is widespread…
And in the Middle East, it’s young girls who are considered desirable and men are able to satisfy their lusts legally through child marriages. In Yemen, more than a quarter of girls are married before the age of 15. Cases of girls dying during childbirth are not unusual, and recently, one 12-year-old child bride even died from internal bleeding following sexual intercourse. In another case, a 12-year-old girl was married to an 80-year-old man in Saudi Arabia.
It took Law Enforcement officials two weeks to get this group of predators in custody. Two of the arrested were teenagers. Are you shocked by this incident? Hope so. Sex has become that new favorite pass time for America. Our children are at risk.
